Is it really a deal?

I found this deal being offered to Paris and the French countryside for 6 nights from $1,349 pp + 120 in taxes and fees it gives you a total of $1,469 pp and 2,938 per couple.

Airfare from let's say Houston with them will add you 30 USD, so total is now 1,499.00 USD pp.

I ran the airfare leaving from IAH on March 1st and the best rate I found was with Delta with nonstop flights to CDG for $629.20 USD including taxes and fees. Considering this there is still $869.90 USD per person and considering I will take my wife and two travelling I still have $1,739.60 USD in our budget in the package.

3 nights at the nice and centrally located Clarion Opera Pavillon Hotel from March 2nd and departing on Sat 5th gives you a rate of 200 EUR/night. Scratch, scratch, I modify my dates and check in on the 1st and leave on the Friday so we can leave the expensive weekend rates for the other tourists and we get a $150 EUR/night rate for a standard double, aaah! much better. We get a total of 450EUR for all nights with taxes. Considering a rate of 1.31 per EUR these 3 nights will cost us $589.50 USD per couple.
I check the dates again for the flight just in case leaving on Feb 28th and exact same rate and flights, nice!

After reducing this we still have $1,150.10 USD left.

I tried checking the hotel they are including in the package for Villeneuve-les-Avignon which is called Le Prieure and it looks very nice but all sold out. They must of bought all the rooms for this package, it's very strange. I went to hotelscombined.com and checked the city and wow, all the hotels in this city are sold out.. I'm kind of stuck here so my only option is to let's say stay 6 nights in Paris which I think is still not enough to get to know this incredible well.
If we switch to 6 nights we would spend 880 EUR or 1,152.80 USD.

So now we really only have 586.80 USD left. Let's say you still want the car, which I wouldn't if I stay in Paris Hertz still has the cheapest car @ 133 EUR for the 3 days which turns out to 174 USD still leaving 412 USD left.

As a conclusion, I would do this package myself and invest a little time but save at least 400 USD in the process. This offer shows you the fine print and details why it's a deal and many of us probably don't have the time to look into the deals but sometimes it pays off.

I'm sorry if any of you don't agree with this post but it is only my opinion and no need to take it so seriously. Have a great weekend!
